In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Shah Rukh revealed that their first date took place by the pool at Delhi’s Panchshila Club, and the couple spent their first meeting, which lasted all of five minutes, “nervously sipping colas”. Eventually, Shah Rukh got Gauri’s number, and began calling her at home pretending to be a friend named Shaheen.
